We work to Restore and Display Historical Machinery and Vehicles from both the Western Vancouver Island Industrial Heritage Society's collection, and the Alberni Valley Museum's Industrial collection.
Strathcona Parlor Car
At the Industrial Heritage Center, the Strathcona Parlour Car sits while being restored by volunteers, Tom Maher, Jan Jansma, Fred Raven and Barry Williamson.
#112 Canfor 2-6-2 Steam Locomotive
The #112 is a 1926 Canfor 2-6-2 Steam Locomotive. The WVIIHS acquired it from Woss, BC in March of 2015. The locomotive is being restored by Soup Campbell, Sandy Macham and other volunteers.
1909 CN Wooden Caboose
The 1909 CN Caboose was acquired from McDonalds in Nanaimo where it hosted birthday parties. It is currently being restored to operating order.
